Goal of the Month

The voting for Goal of the Month award for August is now open!

And we’ve got some humdingers to mark the start of the 2025/26 season.

Up first is Oswin Appollis, who marked his arrival in front of a packed Orlando Stadium with a well-executed shot against his former employers Polokwane City in the MTN8 opener.

Next up, is Tito Maswanganyi with his goal against Marumo Gallants. This was one of those goals from the training field. Mbokazi plays a long pass to Hotto who did well to control the pass and lay off to an onrushing Tito who coolly slotted the shot past the keeper.

Next up, we have Kamogelo Sebelebele, who after receiving a pinpoint pass from Mbokazi, ran over 50+ meters before slotting his shot in between the legs of Ronwen Williams.

Sebelebele, returns to the nominees list with another banger but this time from outside of the box against Stellenbosch.

Centre backs don’t usually score goals so any goal scored by them is special – but the goal scored Lebone Seema would be the envy of even the best players in the world. The 24-year-old unleashed a rocket of a shot against Orbit College.

The final submission for the month of August is the final goal Pirates scored of the month and that was from Tshepang Moremi who riffled in a low shot past the Chippa United keeper in a match that saw Pirates march to a 3-0 victory.
