Sipho Chaine

Free State-born Sipho Chaine made his top-flight debut at Orlando Stadium in the colours of Bloemfontein Celtic, and now gets to call the iconic venue home.

The shot-stopper was brought in to bolster the Orlando Pirates goalkeeping department weeks into the 2022/23 season, and brings in valuable Premiership experience, having also plied his trade for Royal AM and Chippa United in his five years as a professional footballer.

During his spell at the club, Chaine has gone on to establish himself as Bucs number one, helping the team to several trophies. He has also added individual accolades to his collection, and was named Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season following his outstanding performances in the 2024/25 season.
