Born in the Gqeberha township of Motherwell, the Bafana international was brought in to bolster Pirates’ midfield stocks ahead of the 2025/26 season following his rapid rise in the professional ranks.
Sinoxolo Kwayiba made his professional debut in South Africa’s second tier, representing Pretoria Callies during the 2022/23 season. An inevitable move to the top-flight brought him closer to home as he soon donned the colours of Chippa United, where he made an immediate impact and quickly established himself as a key player.
He since made the step up to higher honours, earning his first senior international cap against Congo-Brazzaville in November 2024 and was one of the new faces introduced to the Bucs squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. Kwayiba enjoys relaxing by listening to Amapiano and rates England international Marcus Rashford among his favourite current players.
