The striker received a good chunk of his football education at the Buccaneers after joining the Academy aged just 17.

He showed early promise as part of the Bucs Reserves and was one of the standout players across the DStv Diski Challenge during the 2019/20 campaign. Stints at Pele Pele and Pretoria Callies provided further development for Luthuli, who remained a regular feature on the scoresheet.

He was included in the Bucs squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. In his spare time, the player relaxes by listening to music and is a fan of AmaPiano.
